in the previous letter, i meant to say i got up early this morning, but
said i got early this morning instead. so we need to correct that minor
mistake. anyway, here comes the next song.

and so we have now come to that last song in this group. actually, this
song has become one of my top favorites.

as you know, we had this reunion in pasig the last time we were there
may to june 2009 where the children and grandchildren of ate rosing were
our  guests. 

we also had the chance then to honor mario a. costo for his having
become the very first mechanical engineer-lawyer in the family and for
us to meet his girl friend. we've had cpa-lawyers before in the bibiana
madrid family line. 

in the sing-along that we held during the reunion, i sang a portion of
the above song with me accompanying myself with the guitar just to show
my grandnephews their lolo could still compete with them in the matter
of singing and playing the guitar. we just had so much fun out of it.

i did that because i learned beforehand that my said nephews each
belonged to their respective music bands in high school and that they
play the guitar very well just like their uncle mario who did the guitar
accompaniments to my songs when we recorded them in demo tapes in
morning breeze, caloocan. these kids are now college right now.

anyway after this song, i will be sending you the lyrics of songs i
wrote that i do not have any demo recording of and whose melodies i can
now not remember anymore. but before i do so, i'll first try to go back
to sleep.

i made another mistake in the number i indicated for the previous song
which should be song B18. anyway, here is the next song in this group.

dear diary,

we now come to the other cd which i have named the  "love me cd" after the
titile of the first song in the cd. i gone over the cd to find out what
songs are included therein and i found out that there are only two songs
the lyrics of which i have not sent you yet. all the other songs therein
are songs that are also included in the "christmas way" album or the
"search for your dreams" album, or songs i have already sent you the
lyrics of in connection with the introductory notes i have sent you
earlier.

anyway, the songs in the love me cd are the following - 1) if you love

i almost fell asleep listening to this song. my friend has good basis
for his advice that no one should listen to this song while driving. and

recorded the song. maybe because it would make the song too long. but
for whatever they may be worth i would like to send them to you.

this is one of the songs  from this in love cd that i copied in a
cassette tape which i gave to a friend of mine at work. he is the same
one who said it is not good to listen to the songs in that cassette
while driving because they have the tendency to cause the one driving to
fall asleep.

then he asked me how come there are voices of children that could be
heard in the background of this song. i told him it's because we
recorded this song at home and while we were doing so, my grandnephews
were playing close by, and so there voices were also caught on tape.

and i told him those grandnephews of mine are now teenagers who now play
the guitar quite well, sing too, and in fact, they have had their own
music bands in high school. they are now in college. they are  three of
the children of my niece anita costo relox.  they were among those who
attended the reunion we held in pasig last june 2009 with the family of
ate rosing.

dear diary,

everytime i listen to this song, i really wonder why i did not include
it in the christmas way or in the search for your dreams album. maybe, i
had not written it yet when those albums were recorded. or maybe, i was
just not sure it was good enough to be included in them.

but then again, i was never sure any of the songs i've writen would ever
be good enough when i wrote them. i still don't think they are good
enough for others to appreciate. yet, the mere fact that i enjoy
listening to them makes them good enough for me.

and also, the mere fact that ive written these songs is rewarding enough
for me whereas before i could not even write a poem at all.  and now,
the fact is that i've written all these melodies and their lyrics,
original or not, who knows. that's more than i could have ever hoped for
when we first started to study how to create a melody and write the
lyrics for a song.
