Re: my diary/lyrics-song book- (B7 - roses in your mind
dear diary,
it took me a while to make changes in the lyrics of the song i am now
sending you precisely because i do not remember the melody of this song.
but somehow, i found a mechanical way of doing it by making the number
of words or syllables
the same for every verse. these words or syllables would to my mind
correspond to each of the notes of whatever melody i may be able to come
up with later on.
i based the count on the number of words or syllables in the first verse
of the song.
in the chorus, i based the count on the number of words or syllables of
the first sentence or phrase of the first verse of the chorus. this is
how it went.
title - roses in your mind
written - no recorded date
melody/lyrics - silvestre j. acejas
group B song # 7
roses in your mind (5)
what do these roses (5)
mean to you (3)
my dearest one (4)
roses in your mind (5)
they were all that i (5)
could give you (3)
on valentine (4)
roses in your mind (5)
like this love of mine (5)
they won't fade away (5)
but will grow with time (5)
they will always be (5)
oh as fresh and true (5)
as my love for you (5)
this i promise you (5)
roses in your mind (5)
how do they tell you (5)
all that is (3)
inside my mind (4)
roses in your mind (5)
who'd say those roses (5)
mean you own (3)
this heart of mine (4)
roses in your mind (5)
like this love of mine (5)
they won't fade away (5)
but will grow with time (5)
they will always be (5)
oh as fresh and true (5)
as my love for you (5)
this i promise you (5)
roses in your mind (5)
all because you will (5)
always be (3)
my valentine (4)
always be (3)
my valentine (4)
i hope this mechanical way of re-writing the lyrics of this song works
when i try to find the new melody for it. i really hope it does, but
even in that case, it will take me a lot to time to be able to do ithe
same with the lyrics of the other songs which i still have to send to
you.
